Waaxaa Foundation is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth, expand revenue streams, and secure strategic opportunities that advance the Foundation’s healthcare and social impact objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement business development strategies to support organizational growth and sustainability
Identify and pursue new funding, partnership, and revenue opportunities (local and international)
Lead proposal development, concept notes, and pitch presentations
Build and manage high-level relationships with donors, partners, corporates, and government stakeholders
Drive negotiation, deal structuring, and closing of strategic opportunities
Track market trends, donor priorities, and funding landscapes
Collaborate with internal teams to align business development initiatives with program goals
Monitor performance metrics and report on business development outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
Minimum of 6 years progressive experience in business development, fundraising, partnerships, or growth-focused roles
Very vast experience across multiple sectors, preferably within NGOs, healthcare, development, or social enterprises
Proven track record of previous successes, including secured funding, partnerships, or revenue growth
Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-development abilities
High level of professionalism, leadership, and results orientation
